I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 great kids. I've been married to my wonderful husband since 1997. I love to crochet, knit, and digi scrap. So, you never know what I might post about!

Ok, so I'm a little late on saying Happy November, but this is my first post of the month, so I guess it's ok. The Amazing Race starts tonight! Woot! The kids (and the parents) had fun on Halloween and got way more candy than we need. The boys were pirates, Hayley was a Midnight Fairy and I was a gothic slayer, I think. I'm using the pictures of us for the third progressive challenge over at GDS. They're doing a theme this time: Halloween. And we're starting with the pictures this time, which is harder than it seems. Here's what I came up with:
Now if I could just get it uploaded to the gallery, I'd be doing good.
Wednesday was my mom's last day at work. They're closing her department here in TX and are moving it to Michigan. They're "insourcing," I guess. And hiring people from outside the company instead of qualified people inside the company. Tomorrow is her first Monday not going to work in probably 37 years, so I'm going to give her a call and make sure she's doing ok.
Well, the breeder still hasn't emailed me back after I asked her how she likes to be paid, and she still hasn't put the pics of the pups online. She said she was going to put them online this weekend. Well, she does still have the rest of today to still make it the weekend, but I'm concerned that she still hasn't emailed me back. Why do business-people do things like that? I'll never understand. When I'm trying to sell someone something, I always make sure to respond promptly and do what I say I'm going to do. Not responding and not doing something you've said you will are not the way to sell things.
Oh, I made a LO with SandraK's Pipsqueak #5. Way back when she first gave away this quickpage, I knew just what to do with it. Hayley has a shirt that looks almost just like the pink camo paper, so I took her out in the backyard and took some pictures of her, but when I went to make the LO, I couldn't find the quickpage. Well, I figure it's probably locked up on one of the broken computers now, so I was at SandraK's blog a couple of days ago to d/l her latest pipsqueak and I'd just happened to look at my scrapping list a day or so before that and luckily I'd put the number of the quickpage. So, I searched her blog 'till I found Pipsqueak #5 and was thankful that the link was still good. So, I re-d/l'ed it and made the LO. I used the yelly font. So, here it is:
Our whole church is reading The Purpose Driven Life in our REALife groups (small groups) and it's going really well. Speaking of church, I'd better go get ready, so I'll leave you with this passage:
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12-13 NIV)
