I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 great kids. I've been married to my wonderful husband since 1997. I love to crochet, knit, and digi scrap. So, you never know what I might post about!

Poor, poor Nate is sick, sick, sick. It's nothing major, just a cold or the flu, or something, but he sure has been miserable the past few days. When the fever hits, he's just been moaning and wailing nonstop. So, I've been trying to keep his fever down and his nose relatively dry. I think his throat was sore the first day, too, because every time he would cough, he'd scream. Last night around midnight his temp was 103.5, poor baby. He's doing better today than he was yesterday. I'm oping we can still go to church tomorrow. It'll be the first time in a month or more, I think. But now Hayley's stopped up (she had a sore throat yesterday) and Buddy just told me on AIM that he's feeling sick, too. He took a nap, but it didn't help. I guess I'm next. I'll try to remember to take an extra Vitamin C pill tonight and maybe that will help.
So, onto scrapping. the Members RAK at RAKScraps this fortnight is Thinking of You and since someone else already did some great word art, I figured I'd try my hand at a kit! I'll have to show you the previews some other time, 'cause Blogger isn't letting me post pics right now. You can go see the preview for the full kit right here until then. And here is the download link.
Well, hopefully I'll be able to post those previews here for ya soon. Until then, I'll leave you with this passage:
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples. 1 Chronicles 16:24

Poor Natey only got a 1/2 hour nap today at noon. He rolled over and I'm not sure why he didn't get back to sleep. I think it had something to do with Hayley talking to him. He tried to go to sleep at 6:15, but I knew that would be a bad idea. That's about what time he went to sleep the day before yesterday and we were up 'till about 2. So, I woke him up and cooked dinner. Then he tried to go to sleep at about 8, but I still had to change him into a dry diaper and pjs. So, I changed him and he went to sleep at about 8:30 and I went ahead and let him. I'm thinking he should sleep 'till 8 still, since he didn't sleep much today.
I forgot to post the LO I did of the flowers! We bought these flowers for a science project where Hayley had to dissect a flower. They were so pretty that I had to take a pic, and I made this LO for a template challenge, a quote challenge, and a font challenge!

Dang, I just realized I never posted my final product of the first progressive challenge! Here it is:
So, now that the first progressive challenge is over, Elaine has started another! Yay! I'm not feeling quite as confident this time, though. For step 1, we had to use 4 papers, 2 solid and 2 patterned. So, here's what I came up with, using papers from Raspberry Goodness by Raspberry Road Designs:
Ok, I think that's it, so I'll leave you with this passage:
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

Buddy's home today and tomorrow! He had a meeting this morning, so we still didn't get to go to church, but at least he's home. Not much going on today except catching up on watching shows saved on our dvr. It was acting up and we missed Smallville and Survivor this week. Luckily, CBS airs their shows online, so Buddy already watched Survivor. I still need to do that. And Hayley and I still need to watch Kid Nation, too.
So, I made a LO lat night and used it for a couple of challenges at GDS. Here it is:
Well, I think that's about all I've got for you today. We've gotta go to the store, so I'll leave you with this passage for now:
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:28-30
