I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 great kids. I've been married to my wonderful husband since 1997. I love to crochet, knit, and digi scrap. So, you never know what I might post about!

So, I FINALLY finished making the second size of cloth diapers today! I've been wanting to get this done since before Nate was born (he turned 18 months old 1 week ago)!! We're down to only 5 'sposies and Buddy won't be home for 2 more days, so we were down to the wire, had to be done today! I still have some more fabric cut out for some more diapers, but I don't have any soaker pads for them. Need to buy more fabric. So, the bub's back in cloth, just in time for potty training! LOL
So, over at GDS, Elaine started a progressive challenge last week. I've never participated in one of those, so I figured I'd give it a try. Here's what I did for the first round:
I used Bluestorm kit by ScrappyBlueStones. I'll come back tomorrow and show you what I did for round 2. I have just barely an idea where this LO might be going. I think I'll put a big pic of Nate in the semi-circle, making the edge match the edge of the semi-circle. Other than that, I have no idea. I don't even know what picture I'll use.
Well, I'd better head to bed. Nate's been asleep in my lap for about 2 hours, so I'd better go sleep so I'll be ready to wake up when he is in the morning. Here's a passage for you:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

We're home from visiting the family. Have been for a few days now, just getting settled back in. Everyone's doing fine, and there are more animals on the farm. Mom and I really enjoyed our massages, but not so much the soreness afterward. Nathan had a blast with his granny and Hayley harrassed all the chickens and turkeys. Nathan also learned what a turkey says, straight from the turkey's mouth. Every time he'd see Henry, he'd gobble right back at him.
So, now it's time to start school again. We did a split week, since we left on Thursday and came back on Tuesday (actually, we came back on Monday). I forgot that we had to do school on Wednesday, though, so she had double Latin yesterday. I guess she'll have double science today. Oops. Today is quiz day, so she had math and Latin quizzes this morning. She needs to work on her declinations, but her math was excellent. She's got a unit test in math tomorrow. I never can manage to not have to give tests on Saturdays. Oh, well. That's one of the benefits of homeschooling. You can do it when you want.
So...I made another word art freebie for RAKScraps, for the Oct 1 Members RAK this time. The theme is Zoo. There weren't just a whole lot of quotes about the zoo, so there aren't quite as many this time as last. Anyway, here's the preview:
That's about all I've got for you today, so I'll leave you with this passage:
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. Philippians 3:8-9
