Well, sure enough, I didn't make it to round 3. Oh, well, life goes on. I was kinda bummed Tuesday night, even though I knew I wouldn't make it. But they form a whole new Supreme Team every 4 months, so I'll try again in January. So, onward and upward!
I did a quote challenge and here's what I came up with:

So, I have an appointment for massages for Mom and me set for 9:30am on Friday. Mom didn't want a whole spa experience, just a massage, so that's what we're going to do. Of course, I'll have to get up at 7 or 7:30 to be there on time, but I think I can handle that, since it is for a massage after all! LOL We'll be leaving sometime Thursday to head down to see them and won't be back 'till next Wed (the 2nd). I might even take my laptop with me so I can show Mom The GIMP. She's using some online program/website to make digi LOs now. It's a lot more user-friendly than The GIMP, but you get a lot less control over your LOs. They have templates that you can recolor (but only pre-configured colors), and you have to put your pictures where the template lets you...more like quickpages, I guess. Anyway, it's nice for someone who just wants to get some pages done and isn't interested in the art of scrapping, or very much personalization other than journaling and the addition of your own photos. I doubt I'll convince her to change to The GIMP, but I think she'd be interested in seeing it, anyway. She also has a wireless connection, so if we make a LO, I might even post it from there.

I called my mom yesterday and let her know we'll be visiting in a couple of weeks and to find out if Friday the 28th will be a good day for our spa day. Now I just need to call the place and make sure they're not booked on that day, make an appointment if they take appointments. I'm so looking forward to this. I've never been to a day spa. I've only ever had one professional manicure, and one facial, on separate occasions. So, this will be fun. I had the idea to take her for a Mother's Day Out package (facial, hot and cold stone massage and parafin dip) for Mother's Day, but they were booked the one day I was down there and could take her, so she just said to do it whenever we get a chance, and this is our chance.
So, I finally finished working on and submitted my layout for round 2 of the Supreme Team contest. There are so many creative LOs entered this time that I'm pretty sure I won't make it to round 3, but I do like mine. Other than doing a total reworking of it with a totally different concept, I think it's as good as I can get it. Here it is:
