I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 great kids. I've been married to my wonderful husband since 1997. I love to crochet, knit, and digi scrap. So, you never know what I might post about!

You will live in House.
You will drive a red Accord.
You will marry Buddy and have 3 kids.
You will be a singer in Pflugerville.
Well, a lot of that is right...I do live in a house in Pflugerville with B...I might drive a red Accord some day, but the only way we're gonna be having 3 kids is if our next pregnancy is twins, and I'm never going to be a singer, no matter how much I wanted to be one when I was younger.

We've been so busy the last 2 days that we didn't manage to "do school" today. I guess we'll try to do yesterday's lessons and tomorrow's lessons tomorrow. So, we got B enrolled at ACC, and now we just need to register him on the 18th. I say "we" because, that being a Monday, he'll be working, so I'll probably register him myself. I was looking at his transcript from SWT, and he was really a bad student when he was in college the first time. He made the dean's list the first semester, and then all of his grandparents died within the next year and he started failing everything. Then he just got lazy and stopped going to class and it became a 5-year habit. He was on academic suspension the last year he was there. No wonder he never graduated! That's not really a good excuse, though, because I had serious issues my first semester at college, too, and I graduated in 4 years with a double major.. Anyway, the good news is that now that he's married with child, he's grown up a lot and my mom (since she'll be paying for it) and I will kick his butt if he slacks off. Seems like I had something else to write, but I have no idea what it was. Oh, well, maybe tomorrow.

Now that I've finished the koalas (I think I still have enough yarn for one or two more), I got an email from The Linus Connection lady saying that they need bereavement blankets. So, I started one tonight and it's coming along very nicely. It's a Red Heart pattern called Baby Pineapples. I told the JW's that I'd be home tomorrow totally forgetting that we're going to San Marcos tomorrow to get B's transcript from SWT. After we pick it up, we'll be taking it to AC and hopefully get him enrolled. Then I'll let Mom know how much $ it's going to be. Since we're out of district we have to pay an extra $500. I hope she doesn't freak out. She probably won't, but there's always the possibility, I guess. Then on Sat. he has his CPR for Healthcare Providers class. Then the ball will be rolling. I'm so excited, and I'm not even the one that's going back to college! So, if I can get the phone number off the answering machine message that I already erased, I'll call the JW's back, and if not, I guess I'll jsut leave a note on the door. And maybe put the flag out front... Well, back to the blanket for me.

We went to co-op today even though it was raining. See, that's the good thing about co-op as compared to park days...co-op doesn't get rained out. There were only 2 other families there today, so it was cozy and pretty quiet. The kids "wrote" (dictated) stories for one of the moms to write down. Here's H's story:
Once upon a time, in a far away land, lived a little girl named H Ballet Dancer and she sat in her magical chair. She go'd to the blue island and Lacko was there. He killed her and she fell down dead. Then a prince came and kissed H Ballet Dancer and she woke up because it was only a spell. Then the prince go'd far away to Mars and H Ballet Dancer followed him. The end.
I wasn't in the room when she was "writing" her story, so I missed how this was all worked out, but I think it's pretty cute. I finished the koala and then ended up giving it to H. I'm making another for my mil and just need to make the arms, nose, eyes and claws, so I'll probably finish it tomorrow. I have enough to make at least one more, maybe two, so if anyone wants to buy one, leave me a comment and we can figure out payment, shipping etc. I figure I'll sell them for $12. They'd make great Christmas, birthday, or just-because gifts. We borrowed $500 from some friends, who we'll pay back $100/paycheck. That way we won't have to worry about the mortgage company. But we might be short on grocery and gas money this month. So, if anyone wants to make donations via PayPal, just let me know and I'll give you the email address. :)
